Welcome
The Lake County Mounted Posse is a horse club based in Lake County, IL. Most of our members are from northeastern Illinois and southeastern Wisconsin. The club has been in existence since 1957. The object for which this club was formed is to maintain and carry on a club for the promotion and better use of horses; to keep alive the spirit of the "Old West"; to encourage the motto of "Horsemanship, Sportsmanship and Citizenship"; to sponsor and promote the sport of horseback riding through activities such as horse shows, trail rides, parades, play days, camping trips and other wholesome mounted sport; and to promote acquaintance and friendship among horse owning people.
If you are interested in joining our club, you can get the forms from this website, or you can attend one of our meetings and pick up a membership application. You can also email us from this website for more information. The main requirement for becoming a member is that you own a horse.
